Special Interst Tours / Snow Leopard Watching

snow l Description

Snow Leopard Snow Leopards live in the most remote and inaccessible parts of the great Himalayan and Karakoram ranges. They are the most rare to observe. As a nuisance to the shepherds and farm stock it was hunted extensively till almost extinction. Until recently it was extremely rare to spot Himalayan wolf in its natural habitat. Since the recent ban on hunting involving the local communities the wolf population has stabilized in the remote parts of Skardu valley.Hunza Adventure Tours is offering regular excursions to ocate and watch these rare magnificent animals in their natural habitat. These groups are limited in size in order to prevent any disturbance to the wildlife or its natural habitat. Only the fit and experienced trekkers are accepted to join these small groups. The wildlife guards in each area are employed to show you the animals as a bonus for their conservation efforts.
